Steven Spielberg’s intelligent, frightening and fine adaptation of H. G. Well’s 1898 novel is relocated to a post-9/11 US. The alien invasion is startling, the characters are flesh and blood, with excellent performances from Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning. However, the director should have made another much better ending, a logic one ^_^
